Zlatka Pirin Paneva is an artist and designer, whose renowned career in fashion and ceramics industries spans over 20 years. She has worked in numerous media and her paintings, drawings, sculptures, ceramics and jewelry can be found in fine stores, museums and private collections in Europe, Asia and U.S. Ms. Paneva received her M.F.A. from the Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia, Bulgaria. Upon completion of her studies, she trained and worked in Bulgaria and Italy, winning numerous awards, before moving to the United States.

In 1992, she opened Studio Paneva in Los Angeles, successfully adapting her art to the design and manufacture of ceramic tile and accessories for the high-end ceramic tile industry. For more than ten years, her products have been distributed nationally and internationally through fine tile showrooms as Country Floors and Ann Sacks (Kohler Company). Her designs have been installed in private residences, corporate offices and commercial projects.

In 2005, Ms. Paneva began experimenting with clear resin, and finding it to be wonderfully adaptive, she used her fine sculpting skills to capture the organic shapes, colors and textures she found intriguing in nature. In this media she saw potential in a completely different and very challenging area of design jewelry! In that same year, Ms. Paneva, in collaboration with her daughter Vera Neykov (now a senior at Parsons School of Design) they started ZPaneva Jewelry with the idea to "create jewelry for people who already have jewelry."
